Welcome to our December 2007 newsletter.

It has been almost a year and a half since I last wrote a newsletter. I had put a lot of time and effort into the letters and about half of those receiving the letters would actually read them. It got to be a little disheartening until I finally realized that if half of the people that received the newsletter read it, that was well over 5,000 people a month. I have decided to start sending the newsletters again in 2008. This letter is to sort of clean up the list. If you do not wish to receive the letter, please either use the remove function on the eMail or drop me an email with remove in the subject line and I will remove you.

About 95% of the recipients are folks who purchased something from me. A few people are personal friends who should be on a second mailing that I have started which is on a more personal level. If you are one of those people; my foster kids, exchange students, family, friends and have received this newsletter, please let me know and I shall switch you to the family newsletter. As this list is over 12,000 email addresses, I cannot really cull it for those addresses.

I had a practice of awarding a product every month. I am not going to do that this time as I want to clean the list first. The awards from my last two newsletters went unclaimed. I spent Christmas Day adding the addresses of all of the customers since the last newsletter.

However, next month, on January 31st 2008, I shall randomly pick an email address to receive a copy of Wil Wheaton's newest book, The Happiest Days of Our Lives. The winner will be announced in the February Newsletter. While on this subject, past readers will know about my love of Wil's writing. For those of you not familiar with Wil, he was Gordie in Rob Riener's STAND BY ME and Wesley Crusher in STAR TREK - THE NEXT GENERATION

Wil has written his third book. As was with his first two, the short stories in his newest book are retelling posts from his blog. He has expanded some, reworked some, but the bottom line is that the stories spring from the pages and grab your heartstrings. Every man whoever started out as a boy will have a hard time putting down this collection. It is a bit late for Christmas and Chanukah gifts, but treat yourself to a belated present anyway. You will be as impressed with the book as I was.

Wil has an interesting blog Wil Wheaton dot net in Exile that is quite fun to read. It is not the typical celebrity blog written by a ghost writer. It is Wil's own words written from his heart. It is also a place where you can order his book.

A lot of the newer addresses on this list are from folks who have purchased exercise equipment from me. As more and more furniture comes in from China, and more and more Furniture Stores go out of business, Levitz being the latest casualty, I have had to limit how many orders I will accept for dining chairs and barstools. I do not want to be forced into expanding at my age. However I do have a partner who is doing a great job with exercise equipment.

I want to keep this letter short, as it's main purpose is to cull the list and make it more meaningful.
